Obama Administration Makes Case for World LGBT Rights | News | The Advocate

Obama Administration Makes Case for World LGBT Rights | News | The Advocate
In a historic address before the United Nations in Geneva, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton called on all countries to respect the civil rights of LGBT individuals. The Secretary also announced new U.S. initiatives to support organizations working to protect gay people who are marginalized and targeted with violence.

The Hillary Factor

Lots of people have been expecting, suggesting that Obama should let Hillary Clinton go after Sarah Palin, and maybe Obama hoped she would, but Hillary will have none of it.

On Trail for Obama, Clinton Avoiding Palin "Cat Fight"

In fact, some Hillary supporters are defending Palin!

I wonder if these articles are connected to this one:
Poll Shows Big Shift to McCain Among White Women
A Washington Post/ABC News survey published on Tuesday found most of McCain's surge in the polls since the Republican National Convention was due to a big shift in support among white women voters.

Could these white women be racist?

Maybe Hillary Clinton, and some of her bitter supporters, want Obama to loose, and want Palin/McCain to beat him to avenge her from the primary defeat and Obama passing over her for V.P. (and so Hillary can run again in 2012)??

And I'm tired of hearing all these claims of "sexist" attacks on Hillary Clinton from the OBAMA Campaign... I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO DOCUMENT ONE INSTANCE OF A SEXIST ATTACK ON HILLARY CLINTON BY BARACK OBAMA OR HIS CAMPAIGN!

Obama-Biden Accept Nomination/DNC Pulling Punches

Barack Obama made history tonight as the first African-American presidential nominee by a major political party.
Joe Biden was also formally nominated. Biden and Bill Clinton gave good speeches finally taking on John McCain, but I don't think the Democratic convention has effectively made the case against John McCain. Too many punches have been pulled, and the GOP will not be so kind next week. This was the last chance the Democrats had to define John McCain, and they have failed so far. There should have been more speeches attacking McCain/Bush/Cheney (like Dennis Kucinich who was censored) and fewer dull speeches like Mark Warner's "Keynote Speech" which put the convention to sleep.

While the focus of the convention has been on Bill and Hillary Clinton supporting Obama, John McCain is now tied with Barack Obama in national polls. While there was formal unity at the convention, a significant number (25-30%) of Hillary supporters say they will not vote for Barack Obama.

I don't expect much of a bounce out of this convention. The Republican convention will continue to tear down Barack Obama and emphasize John McCain as a P.O.W. war hero, and a "maverick." McCain will probably get a significant bounce out of the Republican convention.

I hate to be a party pooper, but a few good speeches are not going to defeat John McCain.

I'm sure Obama will deliver a great speech tomorrow, but he is already being viciously attacked for the staging of that speech by the Republicans and the anti-Obama Clintonistas who do not support Hillary Clinton's call for "party unity."

I suspect that the Republican machine is behind most of the "anti-Obama" Clintonista nonsense, and is using them to divide and weaken the Democratic Party. Part of the blame lies with the vicious campaign Hillary ran against Barack Obama which did question Barack Obama's fitness to be "commander-in-chief". Don't forget that every major attack the McCain campaign has made against Barack Obama (from Rev. Wright to the "terrorist" Ayers, to raising questions about Obama's patriotism and religion) started in the Clinton campaign! (Evidently, Hillary Clinton convinced about 25% of her supporters that Obama is not fit to be President.) In fact, Hillary Clinton made it easy for the McCain campaign to just cut and paste her own ads against Obama.

Bill & Hillary partly atoned for their sins with their great speeches, but it may be too late to repair the damage they caused to Barack Obama.

Hillary Hits a Home Run!

If you have read this blog, you know I'm not a big fan of Hillary Clinton, but she earned my respect tonight! She gave the next best speech (after Kucinich!) and finally, FINALLY, went after John McCain!
I think she gave her supporters the best reason NOT to vote for John McCain, and to vote FOR Barack Obama... her campaign was not about HER, it was about health care, women's rights, the middle class, workers rights, gay rights..
If you care about these issue, if you supported Hillary Clinton's campaign, you MUST vote for Obama!
Any "Hillary supporter" who votes for John McCain is spitting in the fact of HILLARY CLINTON!

As a critic of the Clintons, I say bravo!
I can almost forgive her for all those vicious, nasty attack ads she handed to John McCain, and which inspired so much hatred for Barack Obama among her followers.

Reactions to Hillary Clinton's Speech

"Post-Rational" Clintonistas Make Fools of Themselves at DNC

Anti-Obama Clinton PUMAs ("Party Unity My Ass") making asses of themselves as the DNC!

And the Clintonista in the John McCain ad, Debra Bartoshevich, was unaware that John McCain is "pro-life" and wants to overturn Roe v. Wade!

This an an example of what Air America's Rachel Maddow calls the "post-rational" Clintonistas! What idiots!

Apparently, many of the Clinton supporters who now support John McCain seem ignorant of John McCain's actual positions!

Here's John McCain proclaiming his pro-life position:

Angry Clinton Supporters Toast McCain, Roast Obama

Do these ding bats not realize they are being USED by the Republican Party????

Hopefully Hillary Clinton will talk some sense into these idiots tonight..

Will the Clintonistas Elect John McCain and Destroy the Democratic Party?

The Democratic National Convention starts today, and the Clintonites are working to destroy the Party.

While Bill and Hillary are trying to play nice and support Obama, the WINNER of the Democratic primary, they don't seem too enthusiastic, and Bill is now mad because he doesn't like the topic he was assigned at the DNC. Obama has bent over backwards to appease Bill and Hillary, even going along with her rollcall vote and major speech slot, but that is not enough for the Clintonites.

Now instead of focusing on uniting behind Barack Obama to defeat John McCain and the Republican Right, the Clintonites have stolen the media's attention away from Obama and back on the Clintons and what Obama has to do to please them.

The truth is, that Bill (& Hillary) Clinton nearly destroyed the Democratic Party in the 1990s. They brought us Newt Gingrich and the "Contract with America," NAFTA, "Defense of Marriage Act", "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and don't forget the very anti-women and anti-child "Welfare Reform", and the failed attempt at national healthcare that most experts, on the left and the right, blame on Hillary Clinton. The Democrats lost Congress and state offices across the country.

Then Bill disgraced the White House with that slut and lied to the country and got impeached.

If it wasn't for Bill Clinton's disgraceful behavior, Al Gore would probably have been elected President instead of George W. Bush!

So I've had it with Bill and Hillary Clinton and their bitter followers who care more about the Clintons than the Democratic Party or the country! Obama should not have to kiss Bill Clinton's fat ass to get the support of the Clintonites.

A third of Hillary supporters say they will vote for John McCain, and Clintonistas are in campaign ads for John McCain urging people to vote for "the Maverick" John McCain!
If these ding-bats think electing John McCain will help elect Hillary clinton in 2012, they have another thing coming! I will not vote for Hillary Clinton, and I doubt many Obama supporters will either.

UPDATE: Air America's Rachel Maddow just nailed the Clintonistas on MSNBC: They are "post-rational" !!!

Will McCain Pick Hillary Clinton?

The McCain Campaign has released another ad responding to Obama's VP pick Joe Biden, this time using Hillary Clinton's despicable attacks against Barack Obama and claiming she was "snubbed" for "telling the truth." Actually she was not a serious consideration because of these negative attacks on Obama, and for endorsing McCain for "Commander-in-Chief" over her Democratic primary opponent Barack Obama. Is Obama supposed to reward her for her nasty campaign against him that may end up costing him the presidendency.

Maybe McCain has joined the Clintonista Resistance !

If he doesn't pick Joe Lieberman, maybe McCain will pick his other political partner, Hillary Clinton!

McCain Gaining on Obama

Recent polls are not looking good for Barack Obama.

According to a new Reuters/Zogby Poll, McCain Takes 5-Point Lead Over Obama

This poll may be an outlier, most other polls still show Obama leading McCain, but only by a few points.

John McCain's attacks on Obama, and the negative ads and anti-Obama campaigns, are taking a heavy toll.
It is time for Obama to FIGHT BACK!
Enough of the polite, nice guy stuff. Politics has become a fighting match. You must ATTACK your opponent!
Obama must STOP prefacing every remark by praising John McCain. The Obama campaign must do a better job of defining John McCain as another career politician who will do or say anything to win. He is changing his positions. He does NOT have more experience or better judgment on foreign affairs, and is nothing more than Bush II on domestic issues.
Obama started punching back after returning from his vacation. But it is critical to take this fight to John McCain.
Don't be another Dukkakis or John Kerry Barack! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Another problem for Obama are the Clintonista Resistance who still want Hillary Clinton to be the nominee and refuse to support Obama. Like the Clinton campaign, these Clintonistas agree with most of the right-wing attacks on Obama-- they started them! The reason Obama is struggling to stay ahead in the polls is because he has been getting attacked by the Clinton Campaign (remember Hillary Clinton basically argued that Obama was unqualified to be Commander-in-Chief and praised John McCain for being more qualified!), the Republicans, John McCain and the right-wing anti-Obama forces. The Clintonistas continue to side with John McCain and the GOP against Obama! If Obama loses, it will be because of the bitter Clintonistas who prefer the anti-choice, anti-gay, conservative Republican over the black, male, feminist, liberal Democrat!

(I wish the racist Obama-hating Clintonistas who accuse Obama of sexist attacks on Hillary Clinton would give ONE example of Barack Obama ever making a sexist attack on Clinton! He never did!)

Obama is about to make an important decision that may decide this election in the next few days--picking a V.P running mate. The VP rumours are not encouraging!
Evan Bayh? A conservative war hawk who supported the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq?
Tim Kaine? Another conservative, PRO-LIFE, Democrat? You can kiss the Hillary women good-bye for sure!
That leaves Joe Biden or Bill Richardson, two moderate/liberal Democrats who are pro-choice and support gay rights.
I'd prefer Al Gore, or even Hillary Clinton over any of them, but if Obama picks Bayh or Kaine he can kiss the election goodbye.
He would loose the progressive base of the Democratic Party.
Obama can turn this around and get back on track by (a) picking a liberal candidate like Biden or Richardson and (b) attacking John McCain on foreign policy as well as domestic issues, like energy, women's rights, etc.

Obama, we're waiting for you to CHANGE now!

NBC/WSJ Poll: McCain Halves Obama's Lead (Obama 45% McCain 42%)

CNN Poll of Polls: Obama's Lead Evaporates (Obama 45%, McCain 44%)

Pollster.com: Obama Still Ahead in Electoral College (State Polls) (260 Obama, 191 McCain, 270 needed to win)

Note to Clintonistas: Nearly half (49%) of voters still stay they do NOT want Hillary Clinton to be President!

Clinton Campaign Memos: Paint Obama as Un-American

The Penn Memos: Advocate Brutally Negative Campaign Against Obama

John Green at The Atlantic has released internal campaign memos from the Hillary Clinton campaign that confirm what many of us have been saying all along: the Clinton campaign laid out a vicious negative campaign against Barack Obama. If those negative John McCain ads against Obama sound familiar to you, they come from the Hillary Clinton campaign book!

The memos include these revelations from the campaign strategy of Mark Penn, Clinton's campaign manager:

* Penn proposed targeting Obama's lack of American roots -- but also said the campaign could never do this publicly. Early accounts of Green's piece note a key revelation: That in a memo on March 19, 2007, Penn explicitly proposed drawing attention to what he called (with a rather jarring oxymoron) a "very strong weakness" for Obama: "His roots to basic American values and culture are at best limited."

But the memo has something that makes this even better: Penn said they'd never publicly do this. "We are never going to say anything about his background -- we have to show the value of ours," he wrote, adding: "I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values."

* As early as December of 2007, Penn was advocating a brutally negative campaign against Obama and even floated the idea of painting him as completely unelectable, a position the Hillary campaign was unwilling to embrace publicly. In a memo on December 30th 2007, on the eve of the Iowa caucuses, Penn wrote that if Obama came out of those contests "riding high," then "we will have to take him down."

One message suggested by Penn: That Obama "took a series of positions that make him unelectable," such as supporting "letting up to twenty-thousand drug dealers out of jail." During a campaign conference call with reporters during the primaries, Penn openly suggested that Obama couldn't win a general election, but the Hillary campaign rapidly distanced itself from Penn's claim. Turns out he was pushing hard for this to be the campaign's position months earlier.

* Penn pressed for aggressive "vetting" of Wright and said that the issue should be raised "without hesitation." As earlier accounts of Green's piece note, in a memo on March 30, 2008, Penn asked: "Won't a single tape of Wright going off on America with Obama sitting there be a game ender?"

In the memo, Penn also wrote that "Obama must be vetted on Wright," adding: "If you believe that serious issues need to be raised then we have to raise them without continual hesitation and we should be pushing the envelope."

You will find these attacks echoed on anti-Obama Hillary Clinton Sites
The Clintonistas celebrate the polls showing a closer than expected race between Obama and John McCain, hoping Obama loses so they can say "told you so". They fail to realize that Obama is doing pretty well considering he has not only been battling McCain and the Republican party, but also the Clinton campaign and the Obama-hating Hillary nuts it spawned.

Obama Vs. McCain's (Mainstream) Media

The MSM (mainstream media) is doing its best to "balance" Obama's trip and speeches in the Middle East and Europe by trying to cover up John McCain's gaffe's and blunders, and make it appear that McCain is catching up to Obama in the polls.

First, the media has followed the lead of John McCain and the Republican Party and make the "surge" the issue instead of the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq. The Democrats were duped by the Bush administration into supporting the "surge," and instead of cutting off funds for the Iraq occupation they went along and increased funds and troops in Iraq! Now the McCain campaign, and the media, is trying to make Obama's opposition to the surge THE issue on Iraq rather than the invasion and occupation!

And Obama has failed to respond to these attacks directly. He has failed to call the surge a FAILED policy which diverted attention and resources away from the larger "war on terrorism" and the fundamental problems with the Iraq occupation. He has allowed McCain and the media to convince the public that the surge was a success!

McCain got away with his erroneous claims that the surge was responsible for recent decreases in U.S. deaths and violence in Iraq, which were the result of a cease fire by Iraqi "insurgents" and sunni groups taking on Al Qaeda BEFORE the surge!

While Obama has been giving inspiring, intelligent speeches and meeting with foreign leaders, McCain has been aggressively attacking Obama for not supporting "the surge," and calling his Iraq position the "audacity of hopelessness".
Obama must be more aggressive! He must take on the Bush/McCain LIES about Iraq and "the surge"! Obama cannot play nice, he must FIGHT for the general election!

The media has also been pushing some recent polls (taken BEFORE Obama's trip to Europe and the Middle East) suggesting that McCain is catching up to Obama in a "tight" race. Most of these polls show a 4-6 point lead for Obama (still) while a few swing states which were leaning toward Obama are still swinging. Even these polls show that Obama is still beating John McCain and is WAY ahead in electoral votes still.

Some of the anti-Obama Clintonistas, who have been echoing the right-wing attacks on Obama verbatim, are claiming/hoping that Obama will loose to McCain so Hillary Clinton will run again in 2012. Many of them (PUMA anti-Obama women) are even supporting John McCain (who has a horrible record on women's rights!) They are pathetic!

While it is amazing that Barack Obama (a first term senator) is BEATING a more "experienced" politician like John McCain, it is also amazing because he has been in a political battle not only with McCain and the GOP, but with the Clinton campaign and bitter Clinton supporters who are now supporting McCain. Most of the racist anti-Obama attacks started with the Clinton campaign and her supporters. They continue to fan the anti-Obama racist flames and are behind many of the smears against Obama.

Politics sure makes strange bedfellows!

UPDATE: While the right-wing media have been trying to brow-beat the MSM into being more critical of Obama by accusing them of being biased toward Obama, more evidence that the right-wing meme of a "liberal media bias" is a LIE!

No "Liberal Media Bias": MSM Tougher on Obama!

The Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University, where researchers have tracked network news content for two decades, found that ABC, NBC and CBS were tougher on Obama than on Republican John McCain during the first six weeks of the general-election campaign.

You read it right: tougher on the Democrat.

During the evening news, the majority of statements from reporters and anchors on all three networks are neutral, the center found. And when network news people ventured opinions in recent weeks, 28% of the statements were positive for Obama and 72% negative.

Network reporting also tilted against McCain, but far less dramatically, with 43% of the statements positive and 57% negative, according to the Washington-based media center."

So why does the LA Times article have the title "Study: Evidence of Liberal Bias"????

McCain/GOP Have Double Democratic Cash!

Here's why Barack Obama should NOT be wasting his time helping Hillary Clinton pay off her $20 million debt!

Republicans Have Double Democratic Cash

McCain is sitting on $97 milllion!

The McCain campaign and Republican Party have nearly $95 million cash on hand combined for use in the presidential race, campaign manager Rick Davis said Thursday. He said the McCain camp had more than $27 million, and the Republican National Committee has more than $67 million.
And, they're planning on $400 million -- including the $85 million from the public finance system:
Davis said he hopes the campaign and party will be able to raise an additional $95 million by the end of the summer. Including the matching funds, he estimated the campaign would have a total $400 million budget through Election Day.

As pointed out on AmericaBlog, McCain and the GOP are a huge financial advantage over Obama and the Democratic party.

Thanks to Hillary Clinton, the RNC and McCain got a head start on raising money for the general election, and now she wants Obama to help pay her debts instead of raising money to beat John McCain????

Bitter Bill Clinton: Obama can "Kiss My Ass"

Boy, if you think the bitter Hillary Clintonistas who threaten to vote for John McCain are pathetic, take a look at Bill!
Bill Clinton Says Barack Obama must "Kiss My Ass" for His Support

According to the UK Telegragh, Bill Clinton is so bitter about Barack Obama's victory over his wife Hillary that he has told friends the Democratic nominee will have to beg for his wholehearted support. And, Bill is telling people he doesn't think Obama will or can win in November.

No doubt Bill and Hillary are hoping Obama loses so she can run again in 2012. Bill needs Hillary to help repair the damage he did to the Democratic party, gays, the poor and the working class, all of which he sold out to the corporate rich for his own political power.

The Clintonistas are now protesting that "Obama is No Liberal", and point out his recent moves to the political "center", yet they support Billary who have been part of the DLC Corporate Centrists all along! Do they really think Hillary would have criticized the Supreme Court decision on guns in D.C.? Would she have agreed with the Supreme Court that capital punishment, which she supports, would be "cruel and unusual" punishment for CHILD RAPISTS? Are the Clintonistas really that stupid and naive??

The Clintonites claim that Hillary Clinton is a "progressive" candidate even though she supported, VOTED FOR, the resolution to authorize Bush to invade Iraq? The think Obama is NOT liberal since he supports the death penalty and "gun rights", but Hillary IS liberal even though she takes the indentical politically expedient positions?

Obama is NOT a radical, democratic socialist like me, nor is he nearly as progressive as I wish he were. But he is at least, if not MORE, liberal than Hillary Clinton on most issues. I and other progressives are supporting Obama not because he is a perfect candidate, but because he offers the best "hope" for changing the direction of this country. He is no messiah. We, progressives, will have to work hard to show him the way.

But enough of the HYPOCRISY of the Clintonistas, some of which are threatening to vote for JOHN MCCAIN, now is he "liberal" or "progressive" or are you womyn just blowing smoke up our asses??

Obama Ahead in Polls

Confirming what other polls have been showing, a new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Barack Obama with a 6 point lead over Republican John McCain (48 to 42 %)

Even better, a Quinnipiac University Poll shows Obama leading McCain in three key swing states:
Florida (Obama 47, McCain 43%)
Ohio (Obama 48%, McCain 42%)
Pennsylvania (Obama 52%, McCain 40%)

The threat of Hillary women voting for John McCain seems to be unfounded: Obama leads among women likely voters by 10 to 23 percent.

Independent voters, a key factor in the general election, oppose Hillary Clinton as V.P. by wide margins.
So much for the Clintonista claims that Hillary would have a better chance than Obama in the general election, or that she would be the best pick for V.P.!

Barack Obama First Black Presidential Nominee!

History is Made tonight!
Barack Obama Wins Democratic Nomination--First Black Presidential Nominee!

Obama's Victory Speech "America: this is our moment, this is our time!"

Not only did Hillary Clinton NOT endorse the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, she continues to campaign against him!
What a BITCH! She will stay in the race until the convention, and if she cannot steal the nomination there, she will try to force Obama to pick her as his Vice President running mate. DON'T GIVE IN TO HER OBAMA!

Will Hillary's Obama-Hating Clintonistas unite behind Obama or help elect John McCain?

(Since Egalia (Tennesee Guerilla Women) is calling upon women and feminists to leave the Democratic Party, I'm removing her blog from my blog list!)

Looks like many bitter Clinton supporters are going to support the anti-gay, anti-feminist candidate John McCain!

MI and FL Matter is Settled, Clintonites Not Happy!

The Democratic Rules and Bylaws Committee ruled Saturday to seat the the Michigan and Florida delegates but cut the votes in half to punish them for violating the DNC rules. This is not what the Clinton campaign wanted, they did not want Obama do get ANY delegates from Michigan.

Obama emerged from the RBC proceedings with a grand total of 2,052 delegates, just 66 short of the 2,118 required to win the nomination. Clinton has 1,877.5 delegates, 240.5 short of the number needed to win.

As expected, the Clinton campaign is threatening to continue this fight to the Credentials Committee at the DNC convention in August, which would almost guarantee that John McCain will be the next president. No party has ever won the general election when it did not have a nominee until their convention or the convention was divided. Everyday Hillary continues to campaign AGAINST the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama, she is helping the Republicans and John McCain.

The Clinton's have lost their control over the Democratic Party! It is time for CHANGE!

Will the Clintonistas Support McCain over the BLACK man? This one will!
An Angry White Clinton Supporter throws a hissy at the Democratic Rules Committee! This was about how most Clintonites acted today!

Irate Clinton Supporter: "God Damn the Democrats"
Senator Clinton is the "best nominee possible" for President, said Ms. (Harriet) Christian, "and the Democrats are throwing the election away. For what? An inadequate black male who would not have been running had it not been a white woman that was running for President! And I'm not going to shut my mouth anymore! "I'm no second-class citizen. And God damn the Democrats!"
"And they think we won't turn and vote for McCain," Christian added. She closed: "Well, I've got news for all of you: McCain will be the next President of the United States!"

Watch the Clintonista Temper Tamptrum:

DNC Rules Committee Meets to Change Rules Clinton Agreed To

The DNC rules committee is meeting today to hear the challenges from the Clinton Campaign to change the rules THEY AGREED TO in MI and FL. The Clinton Circus is going on outside the meeting with hundreds (NOT thousands) of Clintonites trying to force the DNC to change the rules of the election now.

AMERICABLOG is covering the DNC Meeting Live and providing good counter argument to the Clintonites.

The Clinton campaign's argument is that the DNC must CHANGE the rules they all agreed to at the beginning, that FL and MI violated the DNC rules, and that their delegates would not be counted in the primary election. They claim this is a civil rights issue and that "every vote" should count. What they are not telling (the truth), is that the Democratic Party leaders in MI and FL openly denounced the DNC rules and knowingly and willingly violated those rules. Obama followed the DNC rules and did not campaign in FL, and he withdrew his name from the MI primary ballot. How can "every vote" be counted in these primaries where voters were told their votes would NOT count?

There is NO WAY to "count every vote" in MI and FL! Blame the DNC and the Democratic Party in MI and FL! The DNC set the rules that MI and FL Democratic Parties violated. THEY caused the voters in their states to loose a voice in this primary! Don't punish Barack Obama who followed the rules that ALL the candidates agreed to!

And DON"T punish the voters who did NOT vote because they were told, by the Democratic Party, that their votes would not count, so they followed the decision of their party and did not vote. Contrary to the emotional appeals of the Clinton supporters to "count every vote", THE FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN PRIMARIES DO NOT REFLECT THE WILL OF ALL DEMOCRATIC VOTERS IN THOSE STATES!
If the votes in MI and FL would have counted, millions of more voters would have voted! Their votes were not included in the MI and FL primaries!

It looks like there is a possible compromise coming together on counting Florida delegates, but Michigan is more difficult because Obama was not on the ballot. The Obama and the MI Democratic Party compromise allows the uncommitted votes to be allocated to Obama, but the Clinton campaign, represented by the dispicable Harold Ikes, argues that Obama should not get ANY delegates from Michigan!

It is clear that Hillary Clinton will try to take this fight all the way to the convention in August. It is time for the superdelegates to do their job and stop her from destroying the Democratic Party.

Save the Democratic Party from Hillary Clinton!

Rachel Maddow has been right about Hillary Clinton's intentions to fight all the way to the Democratic convention to stop Barack Obama. (Rachel Maddow: Clinton to the Convention?)

Rachel is too kind to Hillary Clinton! Hillary Clinton is going to do everything and anything she can to stop Barack Obama from being nominated, and if nominated, from winning in Nov. This is not about “counting every vote” or any of the other rediculous arguments her campaign is trying to use to justify her continuing to oppose Barack Obama’s nomination. It is about Hillary Clinton’s political ambitions, which she WILL put ahead of the Democratic Party! I have tried to restrain myself, but I can no longer! Hillary Clinton is proving the worst fears about her, left and right! She has lied repeatedly, tried to scare white voters away from supporting Barack Obama, she praises John McCain and questions the experience or electablity of Barack Obama who has won MORE votes, MORE delegates and MORE states then she has! Now she wants to change the rules that she and all the candidates agreed to and count HER votes (not Obama’s!) in Michigan and Florida. (She has refused the Obama campaign offer to count HALF of the delegates in MI and FL).

IT IS TIME FOR HILLARY CLINTON TO STOP DESTROYING THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!
Rachel Maddow is right, it is time for the Superdelegates to do their job and save the Democratic Party. If Hillary Clinton keeps the MI and FL issue going all the way to the Democratic Convention, it will destroy the Democratic Party and ensure the election of John McCain in November.
SUPER DELGATES MUST ACT NOW!!

What Game Is Hillary Playing?
Nothing reveals more clearly how utterly unprincipled the Clintons are than their assertion that rules set by the Democratic Party's Rules Committee, and endorsed by all Clinton representatives on this Committee, now should be abandoned. Nothing reveals more clearly that the only rules the Clintons follow are rules which favor them. Nothing reveals how exaggerated their claims are than Hillary's recent comparison of the votes in Michigan and Florida to the civil rights movement, the suffragette movement, the fraudulent election in Zimbabwe and the 2000 election in Florida.

Obama Wins Oregon & Majority of Pledged Delegates

With a big win in Oregon, Barack Obama Now Has the Majority of Pledged Delgates and is within 100 delegates of being the Democratic nominee for President.
With the help of her uneducated racist base, Hillary Clinton won Kentucky by huge margin, as expected. The exit polls in Kentucky support the "Race Chasm" analysis of David Sarota:

* About one in five whites said race played a role in choosing a candidate;
* Nine in 10 of that group backed Clinton -- the highest proportion yet among the 28 states where that question has been asked in exit polls;
* Only three in 10 whites who said race was a factor said they would vote for Obama should he oppose McCain in November;
* Nearly four in 10 said they would back McCain, while the rest said they wouldn't vote.

In Oregon, Obama did better among the "white working class" and women. The Race Chasm seems to be regional, the South and Appalachia where Repubilcans usually win anyway.
