Obama Has Clear Lead Over McCain (Clinton Ties)

Two polls this month show that Barack Obama has a Clear Lead over John McCain

According to a CNN Poll, Obama leads McCain by 8 points (52% to 44%). Hillary Clinton only leads by 3 points (50% to 47%) but that's within the margin or error, so they are statistically tied.

In the TIME Poll, Obama leads McCain by 7 points (48% to 41%), while Hillary Clinton and McCain are tied with 46% each.

Clinton has the highest negatives, 44% say they don't like her compared to 36% who don't like McCain and 31% who don't like Obama.

The big difference is among men. Men give McCain an 18 point lead over Clinton (57% to 39%). Against Obama, however, McCain's lead among men shrinks to 3 points (49% 5o 46%). Clinton does not draw well among men, Obama does.

When I consider the Clinton attack machine and Hillary's win in California (we now know that Bill's sleazy, race-laced remarks were a hint directed towards Latino voters), I am reminded of the behavior of the directors of a museum in San Diego. See this article for details:

Clear lead? Are you kidding me.. He does so well wih white men than Mccain? seriously now! wake up pips. that is not going to happen. The truth is we barely know anything about this man called barack Obama until two or three years ago and it wasn't even noticeable. This is purely buta media hype. When the real game begins in the coming general election, i wonder if he is still going to withstand the heat. remember what happen to John Kerry? I like the guy but i could not lock my vote for him as of now because I hardly know him but Hilary, we pretty much know her inside and out and nothing surprises me anymore about her. if we democrats wants to regain the white house again, we need to get our act together. When the hype subsides we left out thesame way we were 4-8 years ago.
