Hillary Clinton: The Candidate for "Hard-working, White Americans"

Hillary Clinton continues her losing campaign by pulling out the race card again!

From USA Today:

"I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on," she said in an interview with USA TODAY. As evidence, Clinton cited an Associated Press article "that found how Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me."

There is a pattern emerging alright! Hillary Clinton has been using racism against Barack Obama! The Clinton campaign pushed the Rev. Wright non-story to scare white voters! The only argument the Clinton campaign has left to make to the superdelegates is that Obama is not electable because he is BLACK and white racists, which support Hillary Clinton, will not vote for Obama!

Enough is Enough!

It may be a "non-story" where you come from, but a 20 year membership in a Black Liberation Theology church that brags on its website about following the teachings of James Cone, is a very big story to the vast majority of Americans. So is kissing the ring of domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers, before Obama's first run for State Senate.

Hillary Clinton is right about what she says, even if inartfully said. Obama has been bleeding white working-class voters badly ever since Wright and Bittergate. It has nothing to do with those voters being racist. They were voting for him before his self-inflicted wounds.

P.S. I should have read the top of your blog before posting. You may be gay, a socialist, and a humanist, but the overwhelming majority, whose views you should be tolerant of, are not.

I don't think Obama has done anything to bring these racist attacks on himself. Hilllary Clinton and the right-wing have tried to make it an issue, and yes, they have done it to scare white voters. Unfortunately many white people are afraid of uppidty black men like Rev. Wright, and they are not ready for a black man to be president. That is who Hillary Clinton has been courting in the Democratic primary, but white racist men would not vote for HER in the general election either.

The racism has come from HILLARY not Obama!

I don't see how one's pastor should be a legitimate political issue in a campaign! I thought we quit having religious tests for political office??

If being associated with "radicals" disqulifies someone for political office, Hillary Clinton better look out! The right-wing has plenty of evidence of her associations with radicals, feminists and communists!

Obama didn't go there because he has class and is trying not to play "dirty politics" like Hillary Clinton and the Republicans

I think that a lot of people cling to the Wright story just as an excuse for not supporting Obama. For some, they are just plain racist but don't want to admit it. So, when they must say what they don't like about Obama, they just say "Rev. Wright." Others just can't stomach the idea of any Democrat, but they sure can't give a valid reason for sticking with McCain. I can't believe that any person who truly supports Obama's policies would give a rip about Rev. Wright. Obama has leaned on Wright for spiritual guidance, not political insight. McCain, however, has sought out the political endorsements of radical, hate-filled "Christian" extremists.
