I just participated in an LGBT panel at my college, in which 3 or 4 trained panelists share their coming-out stories with one residence hall or set of floors or another. Someone asked how we felt about having to "come out" in the first place. We agreed with her that she should come out as straight to her parents.
The presumption of heterosexuality...is sick. That's society's mental disorder for you, not one orientation or another.
