Stupid Republicans

Not only does the Daily Kos/Research 2000 Poll show that Republicans are anti-gay, they are STUPID!

63% think President Obama is a socialist and 53% think Sarah Palin is more qualified to be President!

Other polls confirm that self-identified Republicans (only 30% of the population) are stupid!

New Poll Results Proof that Republicans Don't Think!

Republican: Gay Marriage is SOCIALISM!

GOP Congressman: Gay Marriage is "Socialism"

Speaking to a conservative radio show, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) said socialists are pushing gay marriage because they have "to plow through marriage in order to get to their goal" of undermining the "foundations of individual rights and liberties."

Not only is it a radical social idea, it is a purely socialist concept in the final analysis," King said, according to The Hill.

If there's a push for a socialist society where the foundations of individual rights and liberties are undermined and everybody is thrown together living collectively off one pot of resources earned by everyone, this is one of the goals they have to go to, same sex marriage, because it has to plow through marriage in order to get to their goal. They want public affirmation, they want access to public funds and resources."

Guess someone needs to alert the Log Cabin Republicans!

TN Repub: Healthcare is a Privilege, NOT a Right

UNBELIEVABLE!

I think TN Republicans are the dumbest of all, but Zack Wamp (R-TN) beats them all!

Healthcare is "a privilege...not a right" !

And this wing nut wants to be Governor of TN! (Well he wouldn't be much worse than the "Democratic" Gov. of TN)

(Today President Obama held a healthcare summit, supposedly to hear "all sides" in the healthcare debate, but only invited 2 single payer proponents, at the last minute, after Physicians for a National Healthcare Plan and Progressive Democrats of America launched a campaign protesting not inviting single payer advocates to the summit.)

Some Thoughts on Republicans, Obama, Socialism and Class Warfare

I hope Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin are the future of the Republican Party. We can look forward to 8 years of President Barack Obama. Eight years will not be enough, however, to undo the mess George W. Bush and the GOP have left our country in. Why can’t Republicans learn anything from history? The party of Herbert Hoover still blames FDR for the Republican Great Depression, and wants to repeat the same policies that have now created another Republican depression.

My problem with Obama is that he doesn’t go far enough. Like most Democrats, he recognizes the problems created by the corporate rich, but he doesn’t want to seriously challenge their power or wealth. We need a real redistribution of wealth, from the corporate rich to the working class. That is democratic socialism. Instead of “reforming” healthcare, we need a single-payer public universal health insurance program like most industrial countries.

Letting the Bush tax cuts expire on those making over $250,000 is not enough, we need to take back the Reagan tax cuts on the rich and return to the tax rate of Dwight Eisenhower, the great “socialist” who warned us about the greed of the “military-industrial complex.” I wish Obama would follow the example of FDR and publicly denounce the “economic royalists” who have slashed wages for workers while rewarding themselves with lavish million dollar “bonuses.” Of course, Republicans will accuse progressives who criticize CEO’s making 500 times the average wage of their workers of waging “class warfare.” Isn’t that kind of like accusing slaves of slavery?

Obama Driving Republicans Crazy (Crazier)!

President Obama is driving Republicans Crazy! (Or should that be "crazier"?)

It's Fun to Watch Obama Driving These Republicans So Crazy

Frank Rich: Obama Wins Again!

GOP Senators Say Obama Off to Bad Start (John McCain has really been making an ass out of himself since he LOST the presidential election, what a relief he did not win..)

Maybe Obama has won his first political lesson as President: You can't trust Republicans! They don't want any part of a "bipartisan" plan to save this country--they want to see Obama FAIL. So enough with this bi-partisan compromising crap, do what we elected you to do--we want CHANGE, no more of the Republican/conservative non-sense that got us into the messes we are in.

Obama: "I'm an Optimist, Not a Sap"

Obama needs to listen to, and follow the example of, Franklin Roosevelt (FDR)

Obama's Choice: FDR's First 100 Days or Lincoln's Team of Rivals

UPDATE: More Proof that Republicans are Losing their Minds Over Obama!

The craziest ones seem to be in Tennessee, where four Republican state reps. are plantiffs in a lawsuit to force Obama to prove he is a United States citizen by coughing up his birth certificate! Yes they are that crazy!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm spending the rest of the week in a cabin with family in the Smokey Mountains.

Let's think positive today. Despite a few setbacks, Deb Price says LGBT people have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Here's 10 things to know if you are spending Thanksgiving with Republicans

Are Republicans Really this Stupid?

Are People (Republicans) Really This Stupid??

Today at work I got into a political discussion (which we aren’t supposed to have) with a woman (a WOMAN) who couldn’t understand why the American people did not support the war because the soldiers support it and we should too. I tried to explain that MILITARY polls and surveys shows that military soldiers overwhelmingly opposed the war now, like the general public, and disapprove of George Bush. Furthermore, over 1,000 of our soldiers in Iraq have committed SUICIDE. She responded that maybe they enlisted “to get a free ride” !!!
I could not believe people could be so blindly supportive of Bush that they would even dismiss the opposition of the troops they claim to support.

She laughed when I said the Iraq War was illegal and Bush LIED (misled) congress and the country into it. (He didn’t Know.. She said)
He KNEW! He knew Iraq didn’t pose a “clear and present” danger to the U.S.! He KNEW Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11!
Bush KNEW that Iraq had NO TIES to Al Qeda!
Bush has committed IMPEACHABLE CRIMES! (Iraq, illegal torture, wiretapping, etc..)
How can people still not KNOW these facts!

This same person is racist. She wants to move from her house because of the “neighborhood” (i.e. Blacks).
She thinks all poor people are lazy and are popping out babies to get welfare checks.
Rich people deserve to be rich, poor people are just too lazy, etc.
She thinks labor unions are evil, and Wal-Mart is a great company to work for..
She thinks Bush is a better president than Bill Clinton, who she hates...

Is this the “typical” Republican today?
And why is it that most of the SUV’s I see with “W” and Bush/Cheney stickers driven by WOMEN?

Sorry I had to vent... I just don’t understand how people could be this stupid.

Democrats Vs. Republicans

I didn't watch all of the Democratic or Republican Presidential candidate debates, I just can't watch stupid reporters asking stupid questions and polished candidates trying to spin their answers to get the best poll numbers. I thought the Democratic candidates were OK, nothing to get excited about, but compared to the Republican idiots tonight, the Democrats sure look good, even Hillary. Seems like one thing the Dems and Repugs all agree on now is that Bush screwed up Iraq. The Republican candidates attacked Bush on Katrina and Iraq. They disagreed on immigration and other issues, but all the Republicans agree on one thing..homos should not be allowed to serve "openly" in the military. It was painful to watch Giulliani and Romney back peddle away from queer folks. At one time, both support some "gay rights," Gulliani even supported "civil unions" once upon a time, but no more. Except for Kuccinich, the Dems have no backbone to defend marriage equality for gays and lesbians, but according to the HRC Report Card they all support "equal rights" for gays, including the same rights and benefits as "married" couples, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) and all oppose the military's anti-gay "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Policy. Wonder what excuse the homo-cons and Uncle Tom Republicans will come up with to support the Republicans in 2008??
And here's something you won't find ont the Republican Party webiste, the Democratic Party Gay Pride Web page and Pride Proclamation!

Giuliani Flip Flops Again

In the race to the Christ-Fascist base of the Republican Party, adulterer and part-time drag queen Rudi Giuliani Now Says He Opposes Civil Unions for Gays .
As recently as 2004, on Fox News, he said he supported civil unions. It seems Giuliani is suffering from "mutiplemittromney" syndrome. Even the few "moderate" Republican candidates realize they can't win the GOP nomination without pandering to the anti-gay base of the GOP. So much for the great white hope of the Log Cabin Republicans.

He was for abortion, now he's not so much. He supported gay righs, now he's not so supportive. He committed adultery, but claims to be a defender of "family values." Let's use, what does the book of Leviticus say about adulters?
