Today is Day Without A Gay Day
Organized by the same folks who organized the Join the Impact/Fight the H8 protests, today's action is to protest the anti-gay ballot initiatives that passed in California, Florida and Arkansas. Dec. 10 is also International Human Rights Day.

Unfortunately, I have to go to work.

Update: Day Without Gay Proves Lackluster
One reason is that most of us HAVE to go to work. We cannot risk losing our jobs, especially in this economy!
Guess we need to find other ways to flex our economic/political muscle...

Nationwide Protests Against Prop. 8

Here in Memphis about 100 protesters gathered at City Hall to protest the passage of the anti-gay marriage Prop. 8 in CA and support equality and LGBT civil rights. (It was windy, wet and COLD!)
Congrats to Amy Livingston with the Women's Action Coalition in Memphis for organizing the local demonstration!
