Ironic that the Republicans who supported impeaching Bill Clinton for lying about a private consensual sexual affair, oppose impeaching Bush for lying about Iraq and misleading Congress, deliberately using forged intelligence, and now argue that purgery is not a serious crime and Scooter Libby should be pardoned. I am really tired of left-leaning Americans crowing about this story.
All but five Dems in the House gave Clinton a pass when the Articles of Impeachment were voted on. And all the Democrats in the Senate voted to acquite him even thought they knew he was guilty.
Then the special proscecutor declined to prosecute him! And left-wingers everywhere were, of course, delighted.
Now the very same people are howling to have the book thrown at Libby. What hypocrisy. Apparently perjury is a crime for everyone except Democrat presidents!
Bush didn't lie about Iraq. He's done some bone-headed things, but he's not stupid enough to have lied about WMDs and then not planted any in Iraq once our troops were there. Do you even bother to think before you write this shit?

Do you think before you write this kind of shit? The reason the prosecutor could not go ahead with the criminal investigation of Libby, Cheney and Rove is because LIBBY LIED! LIBBY was conviced, by a Republican prosecutor and a sympathetic jury, of lying and obstructing justice!
The evidence is very clear to rational people who read that Bush LIED about the WMD's and Cheney was involved in a massive campaign of deception to justify the illegal invasion of Iraq! Read Richard Clarke and other former administration officials who have also testified that Bush/Cheney were planning the invasion of Iraq BEFORE 9/11 and then tried to "fit the intelligence" around that plan (go read the "Downing Street Memos" which proves that)...
